In light of the current global situation regarding COVID-19, ISO has decided that all ISO governance and technical meetings planned until 31 October 2020 must be held virtually or postponed until after that date.
- Extended until: April 1st, 2021.
The extension of these measures will be reviewed and communicated on a monthly basis.
The ISO Central Secretariat (ISO/CS) been following the recommendations made by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Swiss authorities and continues to do so.
Travel bans, restrictions, and social distancing measures continue to expand globally and impact international standards development work. In response, approximately 275 ISO meetings that were scheduled to take place between 1 February 2020 and 31 October 2020 have already been canceled.
This decision has been taken first and foremost to safeguard the health and wellbeing of people in the ISO community. It has also been taken to ensure the business continuity of our organization and provide certainty and clear guidance to the community regarding meetings that have been planned for the upcoming months.
ISO will continue to monitor the evolution of the situation and keep the technical community informed in a timely manner.
